“Don’t make something unless it’s both necessary and useful. But if it is both necessary and useful, don’t hesitate to make it beautiful.”
-- Josh Porter
My Design Philosophy:
I believe that as Interior Designers, we have an obligation to create spaces that are human-centered and have an impact on the well-being of a building's occupants. I believe in creating multi-sensory experiences that assist with wayfinding and provide comfort, varying levels of privacy, and visual and tactile interest. To create interior environments that are practical, impactful, and excite the senses I rely on my skills at:
-
Understanding and meeting client needs
-
Material selection
-
FF&E
-
Use of color and pattern

My story.
I took a roundabout path to find my passion. As a former residential kitchen & bath designer, with more than a decade of experience, I became increasingly interested in design for those with a greater range of needs. I returned to school to broaden my knowledge of how to help those with mobility and joint issues, sensory sensitivities, as well as those with vision or hearing impairments.
As a NCIDQ certificate holder, I am a licensed Interior Designer with my Masters degree in Interior Architecture + Design from Drexel University. I have enjoyed working in the Healthcare market segment, with previous experience in the Education and Commercial segments. During this time, I have surveyed buildings, developed construction documents, selected finishes, prepared presentation documents, held and participated in client meetings, presented design concepts to clients, and managed projects through construction.
